Extension frame is now down and apart… and like clock work… rain…

That stupid atmosphere, getting in the way of fun.
What’s the next deadline? I’m fairly clueless (in more ways than one) out here about the schedule of events back where its happening.
It’s amazing how much of a difference that extension makes to the look of the cockpit. I never really paid attention to it (paid more attention to the wonderful banter between characters in ESB), but now that I see it under construction, it’s pretty clear that they added the depth. Thank you for bringing this out

The GMX show is Nov 1-3. So that’s the next deadline I HAVE to meet. Technically… I don’t need to work my tail off but this project is forcing me to set the bar higher and higher… But it does keep me busy and Lowes and Home Depot LOVE me!

The difference, although only 15″, is HUGE. When you get a chance, go back and watch ANH and look how cramped the cockpit is with Han, Chewie, Luke and Ben. With the amount of time spent in the cockpit during ESB, it made sense to make the cockpit bigger – plus it just looked really really cool! lol
I still need some seats though…

Another weekend I have a show, dang it! Of course, the financial issue would come into play too, but, ugh
I need the right numbers. That’s all there is to it.
Are you on a first name basis with the HD and Lowes folks yet?
Keep up the amazing work. This stuff is a very bright spot in a (temporarily) dark world. I look forward to every picture. Thank you for the joy you are having doing this
Now for the important question- when (if) you get to redoing the rear bulkhead for Empire, are you going to install the momentary contact switch that cuts everything off unless you hit the right spot in the wall?
If we’re making the ship, we want it authentic, right…:)
I’m sure Chris Lee has thought about that very thing. He’s the lead but we haven’t talked about that aspect at all. But until the show display is more secure, I think hitting it would be a bad thing…
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “back again, young man?” or “…what the heck are you building?”.
I’m hoping for a short day and may take tomorrow off. If that happens, the extension should be finished by this weekend giving more time for the display stand and all the other various side projects…
