New console greeblies just arrived! Thanks Starkiller and Maruska!
3D Printed Vickers Vents from Maruska! Thank you my friend! Isn’t 3D printing amazing!
250+ toggle switches just arrived! I will unscrew the ring and paint silver… 250+ times…
I took the time to build platforms with casters – this makes it VERY easy to move and also provides a solid base to mount the panels… No more questionable measurements! : )
I then stained both platforms flat black. No sense in painting them. These will see LOTS of abuse…

Chris Lee’s Pecha Kucha presentation of the Full Scale Falcon project

Back in March, I gave a presentation on the Full Scale Falcon project at the local chapter of Pecha Kucha here in Nashville. If you’re not familiar with Pecha Kucha, it’s a rapid-fire presentation format where you get 20 slides, and 20 seconds to spend on each slide. You submit your slides the day before, and they are automatically advanced during your show. So, it really goes by fast. Normally when I give a presentation on the project, I have over 100 slides and spend over an hour on it. Doing it in under 7 minutes was a real challenge, but still great fun.

Hi Gang,
A little bit of AWESOME news! Starkiller just mailed me the 3D printed parts for the console – the throttle greeblies and several near identical (from the original prop) dome panel lights!!! I’m going to have the bezels chromed and attempt to make molds of everything! I’m SO HAPPY!

UPDATES!!!! The upper side walls are pinstriped and ready for greeblies!!!
Added more switches!
I’m now working the two lower panels. Both receive pinstripes and also a shelf that extends all the way to the back wall…
